Day to Day Itinerary

After arrival and completing the immigration process, Himalayan Asia Treks (HAT) representative will welcome you outside the arrival terminal at the airport. Meet and greet with our representative and get transferred to the hotel. Arrive at the hotel and complete the check-in formalities. Get refreshed and some rest. Later, our representative will hold a short briefing regarding the Mardi Himal Trekking program for the next day onward.

Overnight in Kathmandu.

After breakfast at the hotel, our guide will transfer you to the vehicle for Pokhara drive. It will take around 6-7 hours, 200KM. The route will take us alongside the Trishuli River (famous river for White Water Rafting) and along quite many green hills and villages. After reaching Pokhara, our guide will help you at the hotel for check-in process. Later, in the evening, we can enjoy walking along the colorful lakeside road and through the bank of Fewa Lake.

Overnight in Pokhara.

Today is the first day of trekking, but after few hours of drive. At the hotel, enjoy the morning breakfast. After breakfast, we will make sure all the gears are intact with us onboard the vehicle for our final departure. We will take a drive to Kande, the famous starting-point of Mardi Himal Trek. The trail is pretty good. It will take us uphill and little bit steeper to the Australian Camp 2060m. This is a famous hiking place outskirt Pokhara. We will take a lunch at the Australian Camp and enjoy beautiful scenery of Annapurna mountains and few other snowcapped mountains. After lunch at the camp, we will take a hike downhill to reach Pothana.

Overnight in Pothana.

Breakfast at Pothana. Today, we will take a hike towards a place called Rest Camp via Forest Camp. But before, we will pass Deurali through the jungle where the trail drops steeply which again rises, we will hike slowly towards the ridge that will take us into the Forest Camp 2600m. Crossing this camp, the trail falls steeply again to catch the ridge that is less steep. Along the route, we will pass through rhododendron forest, maple trees, glimpses of Annapurna South, etc. After walking about an hour, we will reach the Rest Camp.

Overnight at Rest Camp.

  • Location: Rest Camp.
  • Altitude: 2605m.

The trail passes through rhododendron forest once again following the ridge. After passing jungle, we will be able to see an amazing view of Mardi Himal, Fishtail, Annapurna range up close in the blue sky. We will reach Badal Danda (Cloud Hill) which will be our final destination for today.

The trail climbs along the ridge towards Mardi Himal Base Camp. While we are hiking towards High Camp, we will see breathtaking view of different snowcapped mountains like Annapurna, Hiuchuli, Fishtail and to our surprise, suddenly we will find ourselves above the clouds you.

Overnight in High Camp.

The trail is a bit challenging comparing the previous day. The first steep climb will take around 2 hours, then we will walk towards the ridge and onto the top which is known as Mardi Himal Base Camp. While trekking towards Mardi Himal Base Camp, the scenario is amazing with the view of Annapurna I, Gangapurna and Annapurna III showing off at a distance. After taking some snap at Mardi Himal Base Camp, we will head back to our destination camp the Low Camp.

Overnight in Low Camp.

Today is the last day of Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek. After having breakfast, we will head towards Sidding. Upon arrival at Sidding, we will end our trekking adventure. From here, we will take our private vehicle, then drive back to Pokhara.

Breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara. This morning, we will take our vehicle to return to Kathmandu. It’s going to 6/7 hours of drive. After reaching Kathmandu, we will check-in at the hotel and get refreshed with some rest. We can find few souvenirs for our family and friends back home. Later, we will gather for a dinner and enjoy the cultural program celebrating our successful completion of Mardi Himal Trekking adventure.
